The IRC collection includes; general textbooks, periodicals, pamphlets, maps, and on-line full text databases. The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) provides an interface to search and browse the Library’s physical information resources of about 3,600 titles and can be accessed online at the comfort of your desk.

EAC Publications

EAC publications form the core of the IRC collection. The publications include Council reports, journal articles, materials produced by EAC Secretariat, EAC sectors/commissions, conference proceedings, technical reports, mission reports, annual reports, working papers, policy briefs, speeches and other grey literature, which all outline important research or decisions that have been made on the economic and social developmental aspects of the Community. It also comprises other materials produced elsewhere about EAC.

Reference Collection

The reference collection includes reference books such as directories, bibliographies, dictionaries, atlases and yearbooks, mainly used for quick reference.

Partner States Official Publications

This collection includes policy documents from the five Partner States. The publications include among others Laws, Budget speeches, statistical abstracts and Sectoral policy documents.

Periodicals & Newspaper Articles

The periodical section includes professional journals, magazines, newsletters, organisational profiles and annual reports. The Library subscribes to over twenty journal titles. In addition, the IRC preserves selected articles EAC integration agenda.

E- Resources

The IRC provides access to both internal and external databases.

Former EAC Publications

The IRC has small collection of publications on the former East African Community (1967 – 1977).
